How to Remove Stickiness From Leather Furniture

Last month, we put a nice sticker label on a robotic massage chair before we sent it to PAN AM Toronto celebration lounge. Now the Game was over, so the chairs were relocated and the sticker was removed but it left behind a sticky residue and mark on the leather. As you know, any sticky residue or slight mark on leather can ruin the overall appearance and will deteriorate the leather if not treated. So how to get rid of the stickiness from leather in general? The following method is what we use. It not only works on our robotic massage chairs but also works for your leather couch, leather purse or leather jacket! What do you need:

1. Mild dish soap 2. Warm water 3. Soft clean cloth or paper towel 4. Small bucket or other clean containers

Steps to Remove the Sticky Residue:

1. Fill a bucket (or other containers) with warm water. 2. Add a squirt of a mild dish soap to the warm water. 3. Agitate it well until thick suds form. You will only use the suds to clean. Add more soap if necessary. 4. Dip the clean cloth (or paper towel) in the bubbles and scoop out some suds. Avoid getting the cloth very wet. 5. Rub the sticky leather with the cloth. 6. Repeat as needed until the sticky spots are gone. 7. Dry the area with clean cloth or paper towel. Leather should not be exposed to wet conditions. 8. Once the leather is clean, finish the with the leather conditioner recommended by your manufacturer. (Don’t use any other oil, including olive oil)
